Math exercises:
Question 1:
You buy 1.00000000 of bitcoin for S10,000 with a $2.50 transaction fee.
Then you sell 1.00000000 of bitcoin for $10,009 with a $2.50 transaction fee.
What is your profit or loss?
Answer 1:
$10,000.00 + $2.50 + $2.50 = $10,005.00 and,
$10,009.00 – $10,005.00 = $4.00
You made a profit of $4.00
Question 2:
You buy 2.00000000 of Litecoin for S100.00 with a $2.00 transaction fee.
Then you sell 1.00000000 of Litecoin for $51.00 with a $1.00 transaction fee.
What is your profit or loss?
Answer 2:
$100.00 + $2.00 + $1.00 = $103.00 and,
$51.00 – $103.00 = $-52.00
Your cash assets are currently down $52.00; however, you still own 1 coin of Litecoin because you bought 2 coins of Litecoin and only sold 1 of them. When the market value of 1 coin of Litecoin rises above $52.00 plus the cost of a transaction fee, you can sell your 1 Litecoin for a cash profit. Your earnings will be the price of the sell minus the transaction fee.
Question 3:
You buy 2.12345678 of Zcash for S200.00 with a $2.00 transaction fee.
Then you sell 2.12345678 of Zcash for $225.00 with a $3.00 transaction fee.
What is your profit or loss?
Answer 3:
$200.00 + $2.00 + $3.00 = $205.00 and,
$225.00 – $205.00 = $20.00
Your profit is $20.00
I am not a big math fan, but this seems surprisingly easy.
